f you lose your Alien Registration Card, you must report the loss to the Immigration Office within 14 days of the occurrence of the loss. If you do not report within the given time period, you will be fined.
Reporting the Loss
- Online Report:
- Report your lost Alien Registration Card online via Hi Korea to prevent misuse.
- Reporting does not cancel or recover the card's validity.
- In-Person Report:
- If online reporting isn't possible, visit your local immigration office to file a report.
Reissuing the Alien Registration Card
- Documents Needed:
- Completed application form
- Alien Registration Application Form (Form No. 34 on Hi Korea)
- Valid passport
- 1 passport-sized photo (3.5x4.5cm, white background, taken in the last 6 months)
- Statement explaining the card loss
- Reissuance fee (around 30,000 KRW)
- How to Apply:
- Submit the documents at the immigration office handling your area.
- A new Alien Registration Card will be issued after verification.
