How to claim Departure Guarantee Insurance (출국만기보험)?
In order to claim your Departure Guarantee Insurance (출국만기보험), you must submit a claim for insurance benefits to Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. at least 7 days before departure.

Payout Options

There are various options to claim your Departure Guarantee Insurance, you can receive your payout either at the airport or in your home country. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth application.
  • Local Remittance (Home Country)
    • Write your local bank account numberaccount holder's name, and bank name in English.
    • Include the SWIFT/BIC code (the bank’s international identifier).
  • Direct Local Bank Transfer
    • If you plan to claim your insurance in your home country, you’ll need:
      • PIN number: Create a 6-digit PIN, followed by four zeros (e.g., 1234560000).
      • 10-digit identification number: Verify affiliated banks.

  • Private Remittances Account
    • Insurance claims can be remitted through KEB Hana BankWoori Bank, or Kookmin Bank.
    • If you choose a foreign exchange bank for your payout, it must be the designated bank for remittances.
      • Important: If you use a different bank, your designated foreign exchange bank will change, and payment may not be possible.
  • Claiming Insurance at the Airport
    • If you select the airport payout option when applying for your insurance, the insurance company will issue you a Payment Instruction Form.
    • Provide the following details on your application:
      • Departure locationdeparture datedeparture time, and the bank where you wish to receive the payment.

      • Important: If your departure date changes, notify Samsung Fire Insurance to update your flight information.

    • On the day of your departure, bring the following to the designated bank at the airport:
      • Passport
      • Flight ticket
      • Payment Instruction Form
    • Submit the form to the bank. The bank will verify your documents and give you a Currency Exchange Receipt.
    • After completing immigration, present this receipt at the Duty-Free Shop's currency exchange counter to receive your insurance payout in the currency of your choice.
