What is a Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCC)?
- A PCC is a unique 13-digit code (format: P + 12 numeric digits) used for customs clearance of personal items, providing an alternative to the resident registration number.
- It helps protect personal information by substituting the resident number during import declarations.
Can Foreigners Apply for the PCC?
- Yes, foreigners with a residence card or identity verification medium (e.g., registered mobile phone, financial certificate) can apply.
- Application methods include online through the Unipass website or visiting a local customs office.
Online Application Steps
- Visit the Unipass Website
Go to Unipass Website.
- Click 신규 발급 (New Issue)
- Select 휴대폰인증 (Cell Phone Authentication)
- Enter your information
- Choose your mobile network provider, enter your details, and provide the security information.
- Enter the authentication code sent to your phone.
Enter your personal information as below and click confirm to continue to mobile authentication process
- Complete Authentication
Once verified, your PCC code (P + 12 digits) will be issued.
After completion, you’ll have your unique PCC, which you can use during customs declarations for importing personal items.
